Topic Studios was founded in June 2008 by Madhavi Jagdish,
a graduate of the California College of the Arts, San Francisco.
She has worked as a designer at Weldon Owen Publishing, Tenazas Design, Mass Communication, Volume, and Noon Design. During this time she worked on projects ranging from book design to identity systems and websites for clients like Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, The San Francisco Aeronautical Society, The Slanted Door Restaurant and The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival.
She was a partner at Vishe, Inc., a graphic and web design firm based in San Francisco from 2005 to 2008, working with clients like Act Now Productions, The Doris and Donald Fisher Fund, The Jewish Film Forum and the South Asian Bar Association.
Her work on the Fashion Catalog 2004 was featured at the CCA Centennial Show at the SFMOMA. She has been the recipient of the Print Regional Design Award and American Graphic Design Awards in 2006 and 2007. In 2009 she taught a course titled The History of Graphic Design to Junior year students at the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in Bangalore.
She currently works with Adobe Systems as a design consultant on Photoshop Elements and Photoshop.com.
